Program Intro

Sample letter ex-inmates receive from Clifford Hill COC:

Dear [Sir/Madam],

Thank you for showing an interest in our Outreach Cneter. We hope that your stay will be a pleasant one, if you decide to reside with us.

Our program offers you a place to reside when you are released from prison. We will provide transportation for you the first day so that you can register, obtain your Florida ID and see your probation officer if you have one.

You are expected to work with us starting the second day until your program fees are current. This is not free housing. If you are non compliant you will not be accepted into our program. We watch your attitude and we look to see if you are willing to work and volunteer at needed projects within our program. If you are the complaining, grumbling type then you need to find another program. We are accepting individuals that are willing to walk the walk and not just talk the talk. We are very serious about the negative attitudes and the negative talk. We have no room for either in our program.

We do not tolerate drinking nor drugs. We reserve the right to perform random drug test at any time. If you refuse or fail the test then you will lose your place within our program immediately. We expect you to be courteous to your other roommates, as this is shared housing. We expect you to keep the program rules and the rules of your probation officer.

At this time we are no longer accepting anyone that has been convicted of a sexual offense.

Should you decide to fellowship with us at the church we attend, The Solid Rock Church Of Jesus, then transportation will be available for you if requested.

It is a Pentecostal Holiness church and we follow the Apostles Doctrine. We believe that there is one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. We believe that salvation comes by water baptism in the name of Jesus and being filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost as evidenced by the speaking of other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance. (Acts 2:38)

If you are sincere about changing your life, having a positive attitude about volunteering where you are needed and being a faithful worker, then you will be considered for our program. If you choose to reside with us after reading this brochure, then have your release officer contact us.

Only our mailing address is a Plant City post office box. All of our properties are located in Tampa.

Thank you again for showing an interest in us. Whatever path you choose we wish you well.

Sincerely,
Helen Pridgen (Program Director)
